Spoilers: Empire Season 2 Episode 9 ‘Sinned Against’.

Empire is heading towards a Season finale and the more interesting the plot gets.

The episode ‘Sinned Against’ kicks off in very different from the viewer’s expectation of Lucious and Cookie making up for their kids. Instead Cookie’s affair with Laz grows more and Laz shares a deep kiss with Cookie in front of Lucious. After the kiss Cookie and Lucious share stares as Lucious tips a liquor bottle on his way out. Laz has fallen for Cookie but things get complicated when she finds out the truth about him. What has Cookie found out?

Jamal and Skye Summers (Alicia Keys) share amazing moments. Skye Summers is getting signed in to Empire Entertainment which is a huge victory for the record label. A deep connection between Jamal and Skye Summers grows. Apparently Skye has a secret that she tells Jamal her fans wouldn’t like if she told the whole truth.

The episode majorly dwells on Cookie and her sisters. Cookie and her sister, Candance team up with a former prison mate to rescue their sister, Carol. Carol has been on the run since the first season of Empire while Candance is Cookie’s wealthy suburban sister. Cookie finds out Carol’s secret that she was unaware of but Candance knew about it. 

On the other hand Lucious visits Andre and his wife. Andre’s wife is pregnant and Lucious is so happy about this and looking forward to see his grandchild.

Anika who the previous episode showed she was pregnant is losing it. She shows up at Hakeem’s party and starts yelling. She yells “Stop fighting it!” declaring, “You love me.”
